A former Chicago Bears player appeared in court Friday and pleaded not guilty to charges of manufacturing and delivering marijuana.

Former wide receiver David Terrell is also charged with resisting arrest.

He was arrested on the South Side in August.

Police say they found materials to package and distribute pot. They say he struck one of his arresting officers.

Terrell denies he committed any crime.

His next court date is October 8.
