CUPERTINO, Cal. – Concertgoers often capture their favorite moments on their smartphone.

But Apple may make that a thing of the past.

The company has been granted a patent that can force the iPhone into disabling video-recording functions at concert venues.

The system uses infrared signals to send messages to your phone to tell it to shut down video recording.
