HAMMOND, Ind. — Police are cautioning the public to lock their doors and windows after another home invasion was reported in Hammond.

The most recent incident happened at about 10 p.m. Thursday on the 7300 block of White Oak Avenue. Police said the suspect entered through an open window.

The victim, 22-year-old Breanna Holden, said she woke up hearing someone going through the closet. She said there was a man standing at the end of her bed who pointed a gun at her. She said he made her grab and take items out of the home, and then he took off.

Money and seven firearms were reported stolen.

The suspect is believed to have carried out multiple home invasions recently, and should be considered armed and dangerous.
