WASHINGTON — Another person has been arrested for jumping the fence at the White House.

The Secret Service says someone carrying a suspicious package got over the South fence Sunday night, but was quickly stopped.

The person’s name has not been released. Charges against them are pending.

The package was examined, and determined to be harmless.

In September, a man with a knife jumped the fence and made it into the White House before he was arrested. It was the sixth time someone jumped the fence at the White House last year.

Officials expected to vote on a proposal next month, to add spikes to the fence.
