Chicago’s Animal Care and Control is under fire, following the deaths of two dogs.

The Sun-Times reports one was a rescued stray dog that was euthanized– even though it was supposed to be adopted or fostered.

Animal Care and Control tells WGN the dog was put on the proper rescue lists, but no one came forward– forcing the agency to make the tough decision to put it down.

Another dog died when it became aggressive, and employees tried to calm it down.

The agency says it has disciplined three employees for that death.
