The widow of the man whose life was portrayed in the film ‘American Sniper’ wrote a letter to him on their 13th wedding anniversary.

Taya Kyle commemorated her anniversary to Chris Kyle with a heartbreaking Facebook post earlier this week.

She wrote, “Today, I have a choice. I can bury myself under the covers and acknowledge the pain of missing you and mourn the future anniversaries without you. Or, I can celebrate never having a day without you in my heart because you loved me enough to leave me a lifetime of memories and beauty. I am somewhere in between today.”

Chris Kyle, a Navy SEAL, is credited as the most successful sniper in U.S. Military history. Kyle was shot and killed at a gun range in Texas in 2013.

The shooter, Eddie Ray Routh, was found guilty of capital murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole in February.
