UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. - An Amber Alert for a girl who was taken during a home invasion in the South suburbs has been cancelled after the child was found in Chicago.

University Park Police say the 5-year-old girl was taken from a home just after 11 p.m. Sunday night.

They issued an Amber Alert for her and a man and a woman who allegedly took her.

The girl was found just before 5 a.m. near 117th and Harvard Ave in West Pullman.

No word on how they were located but the girl was recovered on the South Side and taken to a police department.

A woman was also taken into custody and relatives have identified her as the child's birth mother.
