Amber Alert canceled for 4 missing Indiana kids

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The West Lafayette Police Department canceled an Amber Alert for four children that was issued on Friday.

The Amber Alert was canceled around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Chicago police said the four kids and their mother were found safe in Chicago. The children, all under the age of nine, were last seen August 3 in West Lafayette. Police said they were believed to be in extreme danger.

West Lafayette Police Department believed the children were likely abducted by their mother, Victoria Whorton.

Although they don’t expect to file any charges, police said the children will be placed in the custody of the Department of Children’s Services.
