An aide at a special needs school has been charged with sexually assaulting a student.

37-year-old Donald Arocho, of Chicago, is accused of abusing the child around August of last year.

Prosecutors say he attacked the victim in the gymnasium.  The student is mentally disabled and deaf.

They claim the victim told family members what happened, and was later treated at a hospital.

The name of the school is not being released to protect the identity of the student.

Bond was set Friday for Arocho at $300,000.
