CHICAGO — If you’re ready for Christmas music, look no further than your FM radio dial.

93.9MYfm becomes “Chicago’s Official Christmas Music Station” once again at 4:35 p.m. Thursday. They announced the news with a Someecards-inspired Facebook post:

“Normally we have about 2 million listeners a week for regular programming,” 93.9MYfm program director Mick Lee told the Chicago Sun-Times. “The month for the holiday book increases to about 3.7 million listeners. And for Christmas week, we’re up to 4.5 million listeners, so more than half of Chicago is listening to us the week of Christmas.”

This is 93.9MYfm’s fifteenth year of all-Christmas music during the holidays. The station’s reindeer mascot Edison is back for the fun, too.
