All week long – WGN has been trying to find ways to make your life easier at home, on the go, with your finances – and now- when you entertain.

Throwing a party ain’t what it used to be. In the old days,  you know, 3-4 years ago, a party used to require paper invitations, notice weeks in advance, slaving over a stove for days and sometimes extra hands to help you get it all done.

But today’s on-the-go generation doesn’t have time to wait for anything. They won’t even wait for fun. Apps allow for instant gratification at their fingertips day or night.

Getting together with friends hasnever easier and faster because of apps like Caviar (https://www.trycaviar.com/chicago).

It’s a premium food delivery service with a fee that differs depending on how far you are from the restaurant you select. Caviar will feed 1 to 100 people . No set-up for a crowd but your order typically arrives in 30-45 minutes. This fancier food comes hot and is available in 15 U.S.  cities. Everything from Jamaican jerk to Brazilian bowls and kale and cabbage slaw.

But what can you wash that quality food down with? Whatever you want if you download the DRIZLY app.  (https://drizly.com/). Drinks arrive in 60 minutes or less. It’s basically booze at your beck and call.

There’s a $20 minimum to order with DRIZLY and a $5 fee no matter how much is delivered. DRIZLY claims there is no mark up on products and all ID’s are verified by drivers.

“We pull inventory from our local retail partners so depending on your address you’ll see that inventory that is available to you to be delivered within an hour,” says Brooke Morrissey of DRIZLY.

If you’re going to have a few friends over, why not make it worth their while by downloading the app: Zeel (https://www.zeel.com/).

It’s massages on demand.

For $116 and 60 minutes on the table you can get a Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal , sports or couples massage wherever and almost whenever, between 8am and 10:30pm. That cost includes the tip.

Zeel claims it hires licensed therapists with a strict vetting process. Cynthia Irons says experience and safety are the company’s top priorities.  You choose the gender of your therapist, time and location for massage, what type and the length of your session you want. Then relax.

“It’s really that idea of high quality ultra-convenience and great pricing,” Cynthia says.
