CHICAGO — Sixteen Chicago Teachers Union protesters were arrested during a protest in the Loop Thursday afternoon. All have since been released.

The marchers are angry that Chicago Public Schools paid an extremely high interest rate on a $700 million bond sale.

They’re also angry that Gov. Rauner is pushing a state takeover of the school system.

Contract talks between the CTU and CPS are set to resume later Friday.
