5 teens shot Sunday; Part of violent weekend in Chicago

Five teenagers were wounded Sunday in separate shootings.

One 14-year-old was shot in the chest around 1:30 Sunday afternoon near 62nd and King. The teen was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

A second 14-year-old was shot about an hour later in the Lawndale neighborhood. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police say the shooting was gang related.

In the 9500 block of Jeffery, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were in a car when shot at them from an SUV. Those teens were also taken to the hospital.

Police say the suspect in that shooting also shot a 15-year-old in the area multiple times.

Police are searching for suspects in all of the shootings. No one is in custody.

Since Friday, three people have been killed an at least 25 wounded in gunfire.
