CHICAGO — Four people were hospitalized and one was killed after a three-vehicle crash Sunday morning in the Englewood neighborhood, according to officials.
The crash happened just before 5 a.m. near West 71st Street and South Wentworth Avenue, police said Sunday morning.
The circumstances surrounding the accident were not immediately available, but police said the crash involved three vehicles.
Three people who were in a Ford Mustang were all hospitalized. One occupant who was ejected from the vehicle was later pronounced dead, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford told WGN.
Two occupants of a Chevy involved in the crash were also hospitalized and listed in critical condition.
Three people who were in a third car, a Nissan, all refused treatment at the scene.
