Four people were arrested while protesting at the University of Chicago Hospital today.

They were demonstrating over the lack of an adult trauma-care center in the neighborhood.

Demonstrators say the new $700 million dollar hospital ignores the needs of residents in the area, namely victims of gun violence.

The U of C Children’s Comer Hospital does have a trauma center but only takes children up to age 15.

One woman said her son, shot just blocks away from the university, died on the way to a hospital ten miles away.
