CHICAGO — 45,000 runners from around the world are here for the 38th Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Start time is at 7:30 a.m. in Grant Park.
Runners will navigate through 29 different neighborhoods, from the Loop, up to Wrigleville, through Bridgeport and Chinatown.
Today's forecast calls for higher temperatures, and runners say it will take then less time to warm up for those 26.2 miles.
Most major streets are closed this morning, for more information on street closures click here.
If you are headed downtown to cheer on the runners, organizers encourage taking public transportation.
Race officials expect more than 2 million spectators at the marathon.
