CHICAGO -- Earth Day is Friday, April 22, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate in Chicago. Here are 3 of them:

1. Ride a Divvy Bike -- for FREE!

On Earth Day, Chicago residents can sign up for a 24-hours pass for $0 as opposed to the typical $9.95 rate at one of Divvy's station kiosks to take unlimited 30-minute trips throughout the day.

2. Clean up Chicago's parks and beaches

On Saturday, April 23 -- yes, that's the day AFTER Earth Day -- you can join a group of Chicagoans cleaning up our city's parks and beaches. To sign up, go to earthdaychicago.com

Yes, it seems easy. But if you don't usually do it -- get going! The City of Chicago even helps its residents recycle batteries, pharmaceuticals and latex paint. Click here for more information.
