More speed cameras are going into service this weekend in three more children’s safety zones in Chicago.

On Saturday, tickets will start being issued by automated speed enforcement cameras located at:

  • 3100 W. Augusta Blvd. near Humboldt Park
  • 2900 W. Ogden Ave. near Douglas Park
  • 445 W. 127th St. near Major Taylor Trail Park

The city will start enforcement by issuing tickets for speeders going ten miles over the posted speed limits. That threshold will gradually be lowered.

Fines will amount to $100 for speeds above ten miles an hour over the limit.
