Three people are injured after a stabbing altercation in Chicago's River North neighborhood.

It happened just after 3:00 a.m Saturday morning near Erie and Wells.

Authorities say two people were stabbed; one person was stabbed in the leg, and was treated on the scene.

The other person was stabbed in the back.

He was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition.

One person is in custody.

He also suffered superficial wounds on his hand.

Charges are pending against the attacker.

A knife was recovered at the scene.
