A second teenager is charged with his friend’s murder, even though he didn’t fire the fatal shot.

Three teens tried to rob an off-duty sheriff’s sergeant at gunpoint Monday, near 103rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue.

But the officer pulled his own gun and shot and killed 16-year-old Deonta Mackey, whose friends ran off.

One of them, 17-year-old Devante Graham, surrendered to police on Feb. 12.   He’s charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery.  Bail for Graham was set at $1 million.

The other teen, a 15-year-old, turned himself in late Friday and was also charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery.  He is due in bond court Sunday.
