CHICAGO — A mother of three fell to her death three stories from upper Wacker to lower Wacker Drive in the Loop Saturday night.

Police say Generra Lee, 25, was on a party bus with friends when she slipped and fell. The bus had stopped on upper Wacker Drive.

Lee is being remembered by her friends and family as an amazing person with an outgoing personality.

Lee fell to her death while leaning over a railing in the 400 block of East Wacker and accidentally falling several stories to the pavement below. Her aunt Sonya says that Generra loved spending time with her friends and was looking forward to a night out on Saturday.

Lee’s body landed just steps from the busy Chicago Riverwalk, which during the day is a hustling and bustling area filled with locals and tourists alike — walking, biking and boating.

Now, Sonya Lee plans an unexpected funeral for her niece who loved to cook and visit her grandmother in her free time. She says she will try to explain to Generra’s children — ages one, seven, and eight — what a loving and caring mother they had.

Sonya says the investigation into Lee’s death in the events leading up to the accident is ongoing.
