$24M worth of upgrades coming to 7 CPS schools

About $24 million dollars will be funneled to several Chicago Public Schools to pay for critical, modernization projects.

The seven schools are located in East Garfield Park.

Al Raby High School will see several new specialty programs and classrooms designed around engineering, law and public safety, broadcast, and food science.

Faraday Elementary will get wireless internet access, new engineering labs, and a media classroom.

Melody Elementary will get investments in a science lab, computer lab, and media classroom.

There will also be four new playgrounds at Tilton, Jensen, Ericson and Spencer Elementary Schools.
