CHICAGO — Two men were shot during an altercation at the United Auto Workers union hall on the Far South Side.

It happened just before 10 p.m. Friday at 3550 South Torrence Avenue, in Chicago’s Hegewisch neighborhood.

A UAW Local 551 leadership vote had just taken place inside the hall.

Police say three men were arguing in the parking lot, when one of them pulled out a gun and fired shots.

Both victims were hit in the leg, and taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The gunman fled the scene.

An arrest was made during a barricade situation near where the shooting happened, but police have not confirmed it was the gunman.
