Two people were rescued from Lake Michigan after their boat caught fire.

The boat caught fire about a mile off the shore near North Ave Sunday afternoon.

A witness in another boat was able to pull two women and two dogs on to his boat.

Police Marine Unit and the The Chicago Fire Dept arrived on scene and put out the fire.  Video provided by the Marine Unit shows the rescue boat approaching the fire as the rescue team begins to put it out.

No one was injured.image
