Two separate shootings leave one person dead, three wounded

CHICAGO — A man was shot and killed, and a woman critically wounded, on the South Side on Friday morning.

The victims were in a vehicle with two other people at a traffic light at 41st and State when a black SUV drove up, and shots rang out.

The car with the two victims then took-off, and later stopped at 54th and Wentworth.

The driver and other passenger were not hurt.

No one is in custody.

Also, at 55th and Shields, another man and woman were also shot.

Both are in critical condition.

The woman is 40 years-old, the man is 41.

The victims were on a sidewalk on Friday morning when a van pulled up, and bullets started flying.

Police are searching for suspects.
