CHICAGO — Two Chicago police officers who were involved in the Laquan McDonald case have been taken off the street and put on desk duty.

Last month, Chicago’s inspector general recommended that Officer Joseph Walsh be reassigned and that Detective David March be pulled off all current investigations.

Walsh’s partner, Jason Van Dyke, faces trial for murdering McDonald.

Some of Walsh’s accounts of the shooting don’t agree with what appears on police dash-cam video of the incident.
