CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy is charged with robbing a bank at gun point in the city’s Garfield Ridge neighborhood.

Authorities say the boy held up the TCF National Bank branch at 6141 S.  Archer Ave. just after 4:10 p.m. Tuesday.

He was arrested at 8:30 p.m.

The FBI turned the case over to Chicago police, because it does not prosecute minors.

The boy is charged with armed robbery and will appear in juvenile court today.

Since he is a juvenile, police are not releasing his name.
