A 13-year-old boy faces charges after police say he vandalized 18 life-size statues in Grant Park.
The installation is called “Borders” and features 26 statues.
Police found spray paint cans and permanent markers belonging to the boy after taking him into custody.
The statues on loan from an artist from Iceland were first displayed at the United Nations headquarters.
The Tribune reports that the statues appear clean now.
The boy’s name has not been released because he is a minor.
