Lacking plans this holiday weekend? Here are a few things going on around the city.

Chicago Jazz Festival (Sept. 3-6) – Free music fest at the Chicago Cultural Center and Millennium Park.

Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival (Sept. 4-7) – Take advantage of special deals at shops, restaurants and hotels along the Mag Mile. There will also be a pop-up market and live music.

Chicago’s Best Summer Wing Fest (Sept. 5) – Outdoor festival in the Bailey Auditorium parking lot featuring “all you can eat” wings from 20 different restaurants. Tickets are $40.

Beverly Brews Fest (Sept. 5) – Sample beers from 30 craft breweries. Costs $40.

Motor Row Craft Beer & Wine Fest (Sept. 5-6) – Try some microbrews and wines at this street festival. General admission is $35.

North Coast Music Festival (Sept. 4-6) – Union Park will be rocking with electronic, house, jam-band, indie and hip-hop music. Tickets start at $69.

Chicago Fringe Festival (Sept. 3-13) – Features nearly 200 performances in Jefferson Park. Single show tickets are $10, but packages are also available.

African Festival of the Arts (Sept. 4-7) – The 26th annual arts fest transforms Washington Park into an African village. Single-day tickets are $15 online, $20 at the gate (discounts for kids and seniors).

Chicago Turkish Festival (Sept. 2-5) – Free cultural festival in Daley Plaza.

Taste of Polonia (Sept. 4-7) – Head to the Copernicus Center in Jefferson Park for Polish food & beer, live music and family activities. Admission is $7 (kids are free).

Last Beach Day (Sept. 7) – Beaches close after Labor Day, so take some time this weekend to bask in the sun!
