A new, $100 million dollar deal has been reach for private investors to develop and manage the under-used Gary/Chicago International airport.
The plan involves developing businesses and adding jobs.
The privatization venture is a new effort to bolster Gary’s claim as the Chicago area’s third airport, behind Midway and O’Hare.
At the moment, Gary airport has no scheduled airline service.
