CHICAGO – A rollover accident this morning sent 10 people to the hospital.

The SUV was on the Bishop Ford when the driver lost control.

The Illinois State Police say 10 people were in that SUV; all are expected to be OK. It was around 6:30 a.m. when the driver lost control and the vehicle rammed through a fence, hit the curb and flipped up on its roof.

More than a half-dozen ambulances were needed to get the 10 people hurt to hospitals.

Illinois State Police say they were shocked after seeing how violent the accident was, no one lost their lives. And they say at least 7 of the 10 must have been seat-belted into the car.

The SUV was heading down the Bishop Ford near 109th and Doty when the driver lost control.  Its unclear what led up to the accident but at highway speeds the SUV drove off the roadway then flipped.

Police are still trying to identify the driver. Two people witnessed the violent accident and both are helping piece together just what happened this morning.

The 10 were taken to different hospitals around the city; the youngest is believed to be 15 years old.
