LYONS, Ill. — Lyons police were questioning a “person of interest” in the killings of a man and a woman whose bodies were found at a senior living home in the southwest suburb Monday morning.

The two victims, a man in his late 60s and a woman in her mid-40s, were found dead late Monday morning at the Riverwalk Senior Residences, 8019 Ogden Avenue in Lyons, said Ray Hanania, a spokesman for Lyons police, in emails Monday evening.

A person of interest was in police custody Monday night, Hanania said.

“Lyons Police Chief James Keating emphasized there is no threat of any danger to any residents in the property or neighbors living near the property,” Hanania said in an email.

Police were not releasing further details Monday evening. A spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed that two people were found dead at the location, but was releasing no other information.
