1 killed, 2 wounded in shooting on West Side

CHICAGO -- One person was killed and two more were wounded Wednesday afternoon in a shooting on Chicago’s West Side.

Chicago police say shots were fired around 3 p.m. in the Austin neighborhood.

A 19-year-old male was shot in the arm and back. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A 17-year-old male was shot in the face and a 23-year-old was shot in the arm. They were taken to the hospital and their conditions are not known at this time.

All three victims were seated in a vehicle when shots were fired. Police say they have known gang affiliations.
