AURORA, Ill. — One person was killed in a fire at a senior living apartment building in Aurora Monday.

Firefighters responded to the fire in the 400 block of North Constitution Drive just after midnight. Smoke was reported in the Constitution House Apartments.

Firefighters found the body of an 85-year-old man in one of the apartments on the fourth floor during a search of the building.

The identity of that person has not yet been released.

Fire officials would not speculate on the cause of the fire, but say there's no indication this was arson.

The seven-story senior living center houses more than 200 residents.  No one was displaced by the fire.
