From our relatively mild weather, to tornadoes in the south, our winter weather has been affected by El Niño-- the warming of pacific ocean waters.

NASA has been following this El Niño - from space. Scientists have been tracking how its development is impacting environmental changes.

George Huffman, from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, talked with Demetrius this morning to explain their findings.
