CHICAGO — It’s been 60 years since Emmett Till, a black teenager, was murdered by a group of white men.
The 14-year-old from Chicago was visiting his family in Mississippi when he flirted with a white woman.
He was kidnapped and found dead three days later.
His murderers were acquitted, a turning point for civil rights in America.
The family of Emmett Till and The Mamie Till Mobley Memorial Foundation will host a weekend of commemorative events.
