It’s been three weeks since Los Angeles County removed 6-year-old Lexi from the Page family’s home in California.
Since that time, she has not been allowed to speak with the family who raised her for the majority of her life.
Lexi was sent to live with extended family because of the Indian Child Welfare Act.
Her foster parents have been trying to adopt her, but because Lexi is 1.5 percent Native American, relatives in Utah sued under a federal law, to claim custody.
Lexi’s foster father Rusty Page and family attorney Lori Alvino McGill joined us to to talk about the ongoing custody battle.
