Chicago’s own Sa’Rayah, who is competing this season on The Voice, stopped by to perform a powerful rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Natural Woman” with the D-Erania Live Band on the WGN-TV Morning News.

Sa’Rayah is competing on Team Alicia Keyes in the Knockout Round on The Voice, after being stolen from Team Miley Cyrus during the Battle Round.   Her next performance on the show is expected to be the week of Oct. 31.

Sa’Rayah grew up in Cabrini Green and overcame hardship and turmoil within her family and strongly believes that her story sends a message that “you can fulfill every dream that you have to fulfill.”
