CHICAGO — It sounds like “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro will have a bakery in Chicago sometime in the future.

Valastro said someone from his team was scouting Chicago locations “right now” during a Facebook Live with WGN Morning News sports anchor Pat Tomasulo Friday.

“We want to be on Michigan Avenue, somewhere in the downtown area,” Valastro said. “Chicago has always been such great city to me, so we would love to open a bakery here. I think eventually, if it’s not now, then within the next couple of years, we’ll definitely be here.”

The name of Valastro’s bakery is Carlo’s Bakery, and the original location is in Hoboken, N.J. That’s where filming for his hit reality show “Cake Boss” all started. In addition to six New Jersey locations, Valastro has bakeries in New York, Connecticut, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Florida and Texas.

Valastro is in Chicago this weekend for TLC’s second annual Summer Block Party at Soldier Field. It’s noon to 5 p.m. this Saturday. Go to TLC.com for more details.

Also, new episodes of “Cake Boss” start in August on TLC.
