An 11-year-old from the Chicago-area is the voice of Nemo in the new movie “Finding Dory.”
Hayden Rolence of Aurora, Ill., stopped by WGN Morning News to discuss his role before the movie hits theaters Friday.
The middle school student said he based his voice on the original Nemo voice from the 2003 movie. He said he watched the movie and practiced until he was able to nail it at his audition.
Rolence explained that he got to meet co-stars Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks at the premier, even though they did not directly work together.
When he is not voicing a famous fish, Rolence is acting, playing outside with friends, golfing, swimming and doing “regular kid things.”
