CHICAGO — It was a creative selection for the segment on WGN Morning News on Friday, and it required two people to pull it off.

First, Larry Potash came up with a list of his favorite British slang phrases, and then he enlisted floor director Matt, a native of Britain, to say them in a sentence.

It made for a full and entertaining edition of “The List” on Friday’s show as the hosts chimed in with their thoughts on the choices by Larry and the performance by Matt.
