All week, WGN's Dean Richards has been talking with the stars of the much anticipated "Finding Dory."

Ellen DeGeneres brings back the voice of the spacey little blue fish, Dory, in what will possibly be one of the biggest movies of the year.

But, much of the chatter about the film right now is of a three-second scene in the trailer featuring two women in a park -- rumored to be lesbians.

DeGeneres tells WGN that she heard about the rumor, but didn't notice that herself.

“Maybe their husbands were off getting ice cream?” DeGeneres joked.

DeGeneres explained one of the women “just happened to have short hair.”

“Maybe it is a lesbian couple? I don’t know what it is," DeGeneres said. “I just don’t think you should assume every woman with short hair is a lesbian.”

She then went on to say that if it was intentionally done, that would be a "big deal."

DeGeneres was then asked about her role as the host of the “Ellen Show” and the impact she has on others.

“I think of myself as a human first, then I think of myself as a women and then sometimes I’m reminded I’m gay," DeGeneres said.
