Devoted Cubs fan Don Miller became a local celebrity after he decided not to shave one side of his head until the Cubs won the World Series.

The 74-year-old native of the northwestern suburbs said he was inspired by a Bic razor ad featuring a man with half of his face shaved. Miller said to himself:"I know the Cubs are going to win the World Series this year, I think I won’t shave one side of my head until the Cubs win the World Series...oh that sounds like a good idea."

On Friday, Miller joined us in studio to officially celebrate the Cubs win by shaving off his beard.

"I cant believe they did it," he said. "I was already preparing to go another year. I thought maybe I'd end up dying with this."

Miller who spent much of his adult life bald and clean shaved was excited the Cubs broke the curse and he could finally shave his face.
