CHICAGO – When bread reaches its expiration date, most people immediately toss it in the trash.

But you might want to think about that in the future, because it might have a few more days left to eat.

Embracing stale bread was one of the topics for the final “9@9” of the week on Friday as the hosts discussed the idea of consuming the food after its expiration date.
