Skin Care/Makeup Tips:

Before Bed:

Wake up your skin by using an exfoliating product to remove dead skin cells on the surface.

Cleanse using a gentle product such as Cetaphil or Dove.

Follow up with a moisturizer, suitable for your skin type.  Recommended:  Embryolisse or Cetaphil.  Keep the skin hydrated.

Condition your lips — apply a petroleum-based product, such as Vaseline

Use soft tissues and also apply the Vaseline on your nostrils before going to sleep

Sleep propped up to drain fluids

Try using wet tea bags on the eyes to de-puff in the evening and the next morning

Store you eye cream in the refrigerator

In the Morning:

Splash cold water on your face to close pores and wake up

Use teardrops, product like Refresh Tears, to brighten and refresh your eyes.

Apply the cold, cold eye cream — it refreshes and de-puffs

Apply a light shimmer on the eyelids to reflect the light, especially the inner corners of the upper lids

Add eyeliner in a cool color like navy or purple to make the whites of the eyes pop

Use a kohl pencil on the lower water line in a flesh tone to take the red out

Curl the lashes and apply waterproof mascara in black, navy or purple

Start with a primer under foundation – the foundation will last longer

Add an illuminating product to your foundation and apply primarily in the center of the face, where the light hits

If you can keep it on after nose blowing, use a yellow concealer on the nostrils to cancel the redness

To camouflage a sallow, pasty complexion, use a bright pink or peach, or a bronzer for blush and apply on the apples of the cheeks to give a flushed, but not feverish, look

Add a pop of shimmery cream blush — only the cheekbones

Apply translucent powder to set

Use a creamy, neutral/pink lipstick

Apply gloss to the lips frequently to keep them hydrated
