Natural Sunburn Remedies:

Aloe Plants
The plant is more practical when treating smaller sunburns, while the purchased aloe is better for bigger burns. This ensures the quality of the aloe.

Witch Hazel
You’ll need 3 Tablespoons of witch hazel and a cotton balls. Pour necessary amount into bowl, soak cotton balls and cover the burn. This contains a chemicals called “tannins,” which can help reduce swelling, repair damaged skin, and ward off bacteria

Quaker Oats Bath
Add a cup of plain, uncooked oatmeal to a lukewarm bath (cold water seals off pores, and your body will want to trap the heat). Add the oatmeal to the sock and drop into the tepid water. I like to add in a few drops of raw honey, which has been suggested to use on burns since Aristotle. The polysaccharides in the oatmeal will coat and heal your skin while the water cools you down and keeps your skin hydrated.

Plain Live Cultured Yogurt
Live cultured plain yogurt contains an abundance of probiotics and enzymes that help heal our skin. Gently rub on the burn skin and let sit for about 5 minutes, and rinse with cool water.

DIY Burn cream
You will need: 1 Tablespoon of witch hazel, 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel, 2-4 teaspoons of baking soda or cornstarch, 1-2 cups of fresh mint leaves, or 1 teaspoon of peppermint oil, 2 tablespoons fresh, clean, water

Cucumber Awakening Mist

Ingredients:
1 cup (depending on the side of spray bottle) distilled water
1/2 cup of cut up cucumber
optional 3-4 mint leaves
1 small and empty spray bottle

Coffee Bean Scrub

Ingredients:
1 cup ground coffee beans
1 cup brown organic sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 Tablespoon of vanilla or an essential oil

Directions:
Melt the coconut oil and allowing it to cool, but not harden. Add in a Tablespoon of vanilla OR essential oil if you prefer. Mix these two ingredients into a reusable jar and apply to areas such as the back of thighs, hands, feet, and even the neck 1 – 2 times a week.
