Summer Events –

National Parks Centennial – This year marks the 100th birthday of the National Parks Service and Illinois is hosting a number of anniversary activities throughout the summer at its multiple Historic Sites, culminating in a final birthday bash at the Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Springfield on August 25

Route 66 – 90th anniversary of Rt 66 – it’s the perfect reason to hop in the car and take that Rt 66 road trip you’ve always wanted! The anniversary will be celebrated along the route throughout this summer.

International Carillon Festival – June 5-6, Springfield – lauded as one of the world’s most important and prestigious carillon events.
