CHICAGO – August 10, 2015 – Chicago’s Very Own WGN-TV and will provide live coverage of the 33rd running of the “Arlington Million” from Arlington International Racecourse on Saturday, August 15 from 5-6pm CT.  The encore replays on CLTV the same night from 8-9pm CT.  In addition to the “Arlington Million,” WGN-TV will also have coverage of the Beverly D., Secretariat, and American St. Leger races taking place that day.

WGN-TV’s Rich King, Eddie Olczyk and Arlington International Racecourse’s Howard Sudberry will host coverage.  WGN News reporter Amy Rutledge will cover the scene from the sidelines.  Arlington’s Alyssa Ali will be live in the paddock for a report on the horses as they prepare to race as well as from the winner’s circle.

Leading up to the “Arlington Million,” the post-position draw will take place at the WGN-TV Studios and will be seen live on “WGN Midday News” on Wednesday, August 12 .

Arlington Million Day is a grand celebration drawing horses, owners, trainers, jockeys and fans from every corner of the world.  The highlight of the racing day is the renowned “Arlington Million,” one of the world’s great horse races.  The “Arlington Million” is a Grade 1 race for thoroughbred horses aged three years and up.  It is raced over a distance of 1¼ miles on the turf of Arlington International Racecourse in Arlington Heights, IL and was introduced in 1981.
