Spice up your gatherings with a ‘punch bar’

Looking for some new ideas for your holiday cocktails? You can spice up your get-togethers with a glittering punch bar. Shall We Wine founder, Regine T. Rousseau is back to show us some fun and festive punch recipes.

Recommended Holiday Food Pairing:  Vanille Patisserie Macarons, 2108 N. Clark Street 

PUNCH 1: Rosé Prosecco Punch

  • 1 bottle Josh Cellars Prosecco Rosé ($14.99)
  •  1 cup rose syrup
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 2 small bottles Fever Tree tonic
  •   Fresh berries garnish
  • Rosemary sprigs, for garnish

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a large punch bowl. Chill punch until ready to be served (at least 2 hours).Garnish with berries and rosemary.  Add ice when ready to serve. 

PUNCH 2: Luksusowa Vodka Punch:

  • 1 bottle (750ml) Luksusowa Vodka ($12.99)
  • 1 bottle (750ml) Josh Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 8oz Cranberry Liqueur 
  • 4oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 3oz REAL maple syrup
  • 2oz St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a large punch bowl. Chill punch until ready to be served (at least 2 hours). Add fresh cranberries and apple slices to punch to add visual appeal. Add ice when ready to serve.  For each serving: Add 4oz of punch to a glass with ice, top off with ginger beer  (optional). 

PUNCH 3 : Redemption Rye Tobogganers Punch

  • 8 parts Redemption Rye Whiskey ($22.99)
  • 4 dashes Mole Bitters
  • 8 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 3 parts Lime Juice
  • 3 parts Orange Juice
  • 3 parts Grenadine
  • 1 part Creme de Cacao
  • 2 parts Jamaican Rum
  • Nutmeg

Directions: Stir all ingredients in a punch bowl with ice. Garnish with Nutmeg.
