CHICAGO — One person is dead and another is hurt after a shooting on the Eisenhower Expressway near Cicero Avenue, resulting in the closure of inbounds lanes for several hours.

Just before 11:45 a.m., ISP responded to an expressway shooting. The male victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in serious condition and later pronounced dead. The woman refused medical attention at the scene and drove to the hospital for treatment.

No word at this time as to what led to the shooting but ISP said both victims were inside one vehicle.

During the investigation, eastbound I-290 traffic was diverted off at Harlem Avenue. All lanes have since reopened.

SKyCam9 flew above the scene.
